The Cantine Veterans Memorial Complex is a 127-acre sports and recreation complex owned and operated by the Town of Saugerties under the Department of Parks, Recreation & Buildings. Annually, the Complex plays host to the New York Mets Baseball Academy, Antique Auto Show, Fourth of July Celebration and Carnival, Library Book Fair, AYSO Soccer Camp, High School Wrestling Camp, High School Graduation, American Cancer Society Relay For Life, Ulster Fillies Girls Fast Pitch Tournament, numerous High School and College sectional, regional, and state tournaments and competition. The CareOne at Concord outdoor patio is a wonderful place to enjoy the sun, spend time with family, and attended a cookout. From the back parking lot, it is easily accessible to enter the area. The location has indoor bathrooms that accommodate those in wheelchairs. When entering the facility from the front, please stop in at the reception desk in the lobby before heading outside. All entrances have buttons to open the doors, and ramps next to the stairs. The patio is fenced in, and the fences have a latch that will need to be undone manually.

This YMCA is a facility that relies a lot on their social structure. Not everything is fully accessible in this facility, but the basics are definitely available to all. Everyone that I spoke to at the facility mentions their friendships that have sprouted through their involvement at the YMCA. Overall, the facility has many great accommodations that make all individuals comfortable.

Carmody Recreation Center and Pool

Carmody Recreation Center and Pool is an inclusive location to recreate that is accessible to people of all abilities and ages. The center has a large parking lot with 15 accessible parking spaces. The facility offers swimming, a fitness center, indoor and outdoor sports, summer camps for people of all ages and programming throughout the week through the many agencies they work with. The facility is accessible and the staff and very welcoming. The hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 5:00am-9pm, Friday 5am-8pm, Saturday 7am-5pm and Sunday 8am-5pm.

A Diversified Exercise course with 18 exercise stations wanders through the campground challenging those who enjoy staying physically fit in an outdoor environment. The sandy beach offers a guarded swimming area from mid-June to Labor Day. The campground offers rowboat, canoe, and kayak rentals to leisurely explore or fish East Caroga Lake. Numerous hiking trails located nearby. The area offers historic interests from the French and Indian and Revolutionary wars."

Carpenter's Brook Fish Hatchery

Located on picturesque countryside in western Onondaga County, the Hatchery was originally developed and operated as a joint venture between Onondaga County and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service under a Works Project Administration Grant. One of only four county run hatcheries in the state, this has been in continuous operation since its inception in 1938 and produces 70,000+ Brook, Brown and Rainbow Trout annually. Staff and volunteers take great pride in stocking over 100 miles of streams and 10,000 acres of impoundments with 100% of the D.E.C. recommendations for these waters.

Carroll County Arts Council

Carroll County Arts Council is a theater holding 263 seats in downtown Westminster, Maryland. The theater offers yoga and theater classes for adults and children. Their shows they work on are open for public viewing. They also hold many special events including the PEEPS Show around Easter time, where they hold a contest of the best artwork made out of PEEPS. The building does not have a designated parking area, however there is public parking with accessible parking spaces across the street about 50 feet away from the main entrance. The building has been approved through ADA being accessible, however on the entrance doors there is nothing showing the building is accessible. The doors are not automatic and the amount of force opening the door is heavy. There is an unobstructed pathway to get to the theater, the box office/main desk, and the elevator to get to the second floor. The theater has many transfer or accessible seats throughout the 263 seats it holds, there is also a wheelchair lift to get onto the stage. The agency offers assisted listening devices when attending a show they hold. The language staff uses is inclusive, they speak about ways to ensure inclusion at monthly staff meetings along with reading their inclusive handbooks they must have as a staff member. They are happy to answer and include individuals in the planning process for inclusion.

Directly behind Falcon Park, home of the Auburn Doubledays, Casey offers swimming, baseball/softball, basketball, and tennis in the summer months, as well as ice skating in the winter. A trail connects the outdoor sport fields and offers a great opportunity for a leisurely stroll to enjoy nature. There are designated picnic areas which provide for an enjoyable area to eat a meal, or just relax. Casey Park is also an animal friendly environment, where many individuals enjoy spending quality time with their animals.
