Camarda Park, located at 226 Seminary Hill Road in Carmel NY is one of 10 parks managed by the Town of Carmel Recreation and Parks Department. It features a lacrosse/soccer field, 2 baseball diamonds, 2 basketball courts, picnic area/pavilion and playground for children. The most accessible areas of the park would be the pavilion and playground area which are closest to the the parking area featuring three accessible parking spaces. A paved path leads to the pavilion/picnic area with no slope or barriers to enter. The playground which is partially enclosed by a fence features a swing set, and two elevated playground areas with tunnels, slides, climbers and monkey bars. There are 2 ramps to enter the children's playground and transfer systems at both playground elements.
Camarda Park Is A Park Managed Within The Town Of Carmel Parks And Recreation Department. It Features Lacrosse/Soccer Field, One Ninety Foot Diamond, One Sixty Foot Diamond, Two Basketball Courts, Nature/Walking Trails, Picnic Area/Pavillion And A Playground. The Picnic Area Has Tables Convenient For Gatherings Of A Substantial Size (200). This Facility Also Has Rest Rooms And A Food Concession.
The Town of Carmel Parks and Recreation offers baby and mom, toddler and youth classes(movement, art, dance, sports) in addition to classes for teens and adults(dance, horseback riding, tennis, skiing), community events, waterfront programs, classes and day trips for Seniors as well as operating a Summer Camp.
