It should be noted that the site is ADA compliant with flashing lights and audible alarms in the Hempstead House. Castle Gould does not have the flashing lights during fire drills. The only food served is during a private event at the Hempstead House in which special dietary needs can be met.

Comments/additional information about agency partnerships and collaboration:

A positive partnership with tat least two disability and other community organizations. Activities have included educational trainings as well as important outdoor safety information such as monitoring for ticks. There have been organized beach clean-ups on the site shoreline with participants from the two organizations. 5K races also held on-site with participation by individuals of all abilities.

The staff are extremely knowledgeable about the grounds and are more than happy to assist visitors.
