Summary

Scarlet's Smile Playground was inspired by a child who was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) when she was eight months old. Scarlet's Smile is a not for profit organization that raised money for this playground and saw it through to completion. The playground was intended to be "a destination where all kids, regardless of their ability, can play together with their friends and family." It is also intended for adults with disabilities to be able to play on the structures with their kids. The land was donated by the township and stewardship of this play area will soon be transferred back to Dodge Park #5.

Use the South Commerce Road entrance. If you see the library building, you are at the wrong entrance. There is a large curb-free drop off area in front of the pavilion and playground. There is ample accessible parking with access aisles. There are bike racks and bike lanes on either side of the paved drive to the playground.

There are soccer fields on two sides of the playground. An accessible paved pathway runs between two of them and connects the playground to the library.
