Comments/additional information about supports:

We have something here called "cool down", like yoga, done after every session, 10 minutes before it ends, using laser lights and music to help the kids relax before returning home with their families.

The program follows the school calendar, operating Monday-Thursdays, with two different after-school sessions to attend. During the summer months, Inclusive Sports and Fitness works with some local school districts to offer similar sports and fitness opportunities and experiences for 3 hours per day.

One unique aspect of the facility is their mentoring program, where children without disabilities in grades 5-12 can be matched-up with participants of the program to help develop peer relationships and a shared love of sports and fitness activities.

Comments/additional information about activity accommodations:

We continuously use protocols to determine the social groups formed here.

This is a specialized facility, only accepting eight to ten children at a time. Parents and family members of each participant are able to watch live TV/video feeds during the sessions, to see what and how their child is doing in the program. Though each child is initially put on program for six weeks, with consecutive family meetings and evaluations every six weeks thereafter, a child participating in the program is not formally discharged until his/her family feels comfortable and confident their child is ready to move on.

School Field Trips
Potential children can take a 2-hour field trip to our facility to see if they might join in the future. This can be difficult due to the fact we only accept 8 kids at a time, and currently have a waiting list of 50 children.
