Verona Beach State Park

According to the agency website: Verona Beach State Park, located on the eastern shore of Oneida Lake, is a picnicker's and camper's delight. Shaded picnic areas and the campground are adjacent to the beach with an excellent view of the water. The lake, Black Creek, cattail marshes, and bottomland hardwood swamps give Verona Beach one of the most diverse aquatic habitats in the Central Region, and well worth a hike on the "Woods and Wetland" nature trail. The winter season hosts snowmobilers, cross-country skiers and ice fishermen. The eastern portion of the park is open for hunting deer, small game, and waterfowl, in season.

Veterans Memorial Highway, Whiteface

The Veterans Memorial Highway brings visitors to the summit of Whiteface. There is an elevator to access the top as well as a walking trail from the Castle to the Elevator. Enjoy a small meal in the castle café and don't forget to pick up a gift or two. Enjoy the scenic views along the highway.

Veterans' Memorial Park

With its "twin" park, Gansevoort Park, it forms a unique and important ceremonial space along the North James Street corridor. Both parks are special use parks, designed as memorials and have historical significance within the community.

Via Aquarium

Via Aquarium is a small aquarium near Rotterdam, NY. It features several interactive touch exhibits, photo opportunities, and a variety of sea life tanks. The space is a single floor, and has a primarily open layout with a few narrow hallways, all of which are wheelchair accessible. The touch tanks may not be accessible to all guests, depending on height and range of motion. A visit typically takes a couple hours, and food and other attractions are available in the same shopping center as the aquarium.

Aviator Sports and Recreation Gymnatstics Center

Aviator Sports and Recreation is an 170,000 square foot facility, offering 15,500 square feet of gymnastic space. The facility has a food court, seven event rooms, and child drop-off center. Birthday parties and catered events for groups of over 1,000 people are also offered.

Aviator has two professional sized ice rinks. They offer ice hockey, figure skating, and public skating. Both rinks are easily accessible, but one does have a slight inclined ramp. All ice programs can be modified and are available for one on one instruction or small group instruction.

Village of Cobleskill Nick Iorio Park

The Village of Cobleskill has made an effort to include facilities for people with different abilities and needs. The preschool playground has sensory areas as well as some climbing equipment. There is shade available on the edges of the playground. Some playground equipment for school age children ages 5-12 have been updated to increase accessibility, but some of the changes are modifications to existing equipment. A new swing set and spinner were added in 2014. The pool is open late June through August and is one of the only local community pools with a lift.

Village of Lake George Shepard Park

From the agency website: Located in the center of the Village it becomes the showcase for many events including regular concerts, firemen's family days, craft shows, and other similar events. The beach is open daily during the summer with lifeguards on duty. The park contains the Centennial Fountain and the Memorial of the Ethan Allen Tragedy.

Village of Middleburgh Creekside Park

The Village of Middleburgh created Baker Ave Park on property that had been impacted by flooding and can no longer have a structure on it. The creation of a park in the community supports green space and recreational use by the community. It is within walking distance of Main Street as well as Middleburgh Central School. The park is along side of the Schoharie Creek.

Village of Middleburgh Timothy Murphy Park

Timothy Murphy Park is located at the intersection of Routes 30 and 145 in Middleburgh NY. It is located along the west bank of the Schoharie Creek and provides creek access for those wanting to kayak and canoe in their own boats. There is a pavilion that was built on the site and picnic tables. The pavilion and the picnic area can be reserved by calling the MIddleburgh Village office during normal business hours. Because it is easily accessible from the main part of the Village and has an area for parking, this park is used for community events.

Village of Saranac Lake Recreation Department

The Village of Saranac Lake Recreation Department provides a playground on the corner of Ampersand and Broadway street.

Village of Schoharie Fox Creek Park

Fox Creek is a Village of Schoharie park. The primary use is the pavilion. It is possible to walk to the creek to fish, although there are no designated fishing locations. It is also possible to walk under Route 30 to Lilly Park, but it is not accessible for those in wheel chairs or with limited mobility. There is plenty of shade. There are additional picnic tables and grills scattered around the park for people to use. Families and groups can reserve the pavilion through the Village of Schoharie office.

Village of Schoharie Lilly Park

Lilly Park was created through the Schoharie Promotional Association after the flooding of Hurricane Irene in 2012. Work was completed by community volunteers and is ongoing. The walking trail is a loop, allowing people to travel the entire trail. The park is small and you can see most areas of the park.

Village on the Park (Victor Parks and Recreation)

Village on the Park has two separate locations. At 760 A Duck Hollow, there is a playground and gazebo. The playground has 2 baby/toddler swings, and 2 regular swings, and a raised play structure that includes slides and tunnels. All playground equipment is over woodchips. At 797 Rainbow Run, there are two soccer fields that are located up a hill with a 12% incline. The park also includes a looped trail rising and falling across a drumlin and a sledding hill. At both locations, the parking lots are unlined.
