West Point Bowling Center

The West Point Family and MWR Bowling Center is a 10-lane, state-of-the-art facility with services that include bowling lessons by appointment, league bowling, party packages and Galactic Bowling. The facility does contain any stairs leading into the building or inside the building. West Point Bowling Center offers adaptive equipment that includes bumpers, and bowling ramps.

West Point Museum

This agency is directly affiliated with the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. The West Point Museum offers exhibits pertaining to the history of the United States Military Academy and the United States Army. Exhibits include the history of the West Point and the military academy, small and large weapons used in warfare since the American Revolution, as well as history of the U.S. Army.

Westchester Arts Council, the county's link between the arts, business and culture, was established in 1965 as a private, not-for-profit program organization. It is the county's designated arts council and the largest of its kind in New York State. In partnership with Westchester County Governement, municipal governments, and business and community leaders, the Arts Council works to weave the arts into the fabric of Westchester life, strengthen the county's cultural institutions, and enrich the quality of life for all of Westchester's residents. The Arts Council's underlying belief is that the arts are for everyone, whether in a school or in a concert hall. The Arts Council partners with over 100 arts groups and more thatn 150 artists to bring the arts into schools, senior centers, daycare sites, after-school programs and mental health facilities.

According to the agency website: "Westcott Beach State Park is a popular day-use and camping park on Lake Ontario, with rolling, wooded hills and open, grassy meadows sheltered by Henderson Bay. It offers restful campsites located on a bluff, from which the view is spectacular. A small marina is adjacent to the long, sandy beach to accommodate anglers interested in Lake Ontario's excellent black bass fishing. The park also has a children's playground, picnic areas and hiking trails that do winter duty for cross-country skiing."

Westminster City Park is an outdoor attraction that is freely open to the public and sits approximately 16 miles northwest of Denver, Colorado. In this 205 acre park you will find accessible picnic pavilions, a playground, a small lake, soccer fields, baseball/softball fields, 18-hole disc golf, a skate park, an accessible multi-use trail, access to the Big Dry Creek Trail, and a beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains.

Westport Boat Launch is located on Route 22 in the Village of Westport. This hard surfaced ramp provides water access to Lake Champlain and has parking for 35 cars and trailers.

Westridge Recreation Center

Whirlpool State Park

According to the agency website: "Whirlpool State Park has two levels -- the street level has many scenic overlooks with spectacular views of the Whirlpool and rapids. There are picnic facilities and a playground, as well as the gorge natural history room at the restroom building; both are open seasonally. The river level offers hiking and fishing by taking the staircase located just downstream from the main park area. At the base of the gorge, you can hike upstream along the Whirlpool Rapids Trail past the Whirlpool to a point along the Whirlpool Rapids. You can return to this staircase to exit the gorge, or take the Devil's Hole Trail downstream to the Devil's Hole staircase to the top of the gorge at Devil's Hole State Park."

This agency is a typical library setting. There are many books, movies, and audio tapes available for all ages. The parking leads to a ramp that leads to the childrens room and the rest of the library is visible from that point. There is a downstairs with computers and an upstairs with quiet study rooms that are both accessible by elevator.

Other than that partnership, White Rock Lake and Trails is an extremely free flow, family and pet friendly environment. Its surrounded by communities and other facilities such as White Rock Lake Museum, Bath House Cultural Center, Dallas Arboretum, Audubon Society bird watching area, Wetland, Dog Park, Picnic areas, Pavilions (available for rent), Piers, Boat ramps, and Kayak concession.

Whitney Point Wellness Center is a facility that has Chiropractic, Nutrition, Massage Therapy, Red Light Therapy, Decompression Therapy, and Acupuncture. The staff is very helpful. They do have a ramp available for those who require one.

Wickham Marsh Wildlife Management Area Trail (DEC)

According to the agency website: "Wickham Marsh Wildlife Management Area encompasses 862 acres along County Route 17 (The Back Road) in the Town of Chesterfield, Essex County. Land purchases for this management area commenced in 1950 with the acquisition of 176 acres from the Watson Estate and were completed in 1970 with the additions of 136 acres from Loyola Villa and 370 acres from the Mattig Corporation.

According to the agency website: Wildwood State Park comprises 600 acres of undeveloped hardwood forest terminating on the high bluff overlooking Long Island Sound. Trailer and tent sites are available for campers. Swimmers can take advantage of the cool waters of the Sound, and picnickers can relax at shaded picnic tables as their children enjoy the nearby playground. Visitors can fish and use the hiking and cross-country ski trails.

William C Whitney Wilderness Area (DEC)

According to the agency website: "The 19,500-acre William C. Whitney Wilderness and the 11,430-acre Round Lake Wilderness Area are part of the Adirondack Forest Preserve. The two wildernesses are separated by the Sabattis Road. Combined, the wildernesses comprise more than 30,000 acres of numerous flat, low lying lands adjacent to low, rolling hills with only a few mountain summits exceeding 2,100 feet, including 2,170-foot high Mt. Frederica. Water is the main feature of the wildernesses. There are four larger water bodies - 2,300-acre Little Tupper Lake, 1,400-acre Lake Lila, 740-acre Round Lake and 282-acre Rock Pond; a number of smaller water bodies and many miles of streams connecting them.
