Summary

The Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave is a historical museum founded in 1921 by the City and County of Denver. The museum includes a collection of items donated by Buffalo Bill Cody's family and friends after he died. To the right of the museum, is the old museum building which was converted into a cafe and gift shop. The cafe and gift building is currently closed. There is a steep, winding pathway up to the grave site of William "Buffalo Bill" Cody and his wife, Louisa Cody. The museum and Lookout Mountain Park are part of the Denver Mountain Parks system, which falls under the City and County of Denver’s Department of Parks and Recreation.

The museum has accessible entrances and viewing. There are motion-activated lights throughout the lower area (the main museum) and well-lit entrances, registration area, and restrooms. The displays and exhibits have readable print, many seating areas, and are easy to use and enjoy.
