Summary

The Children’s Village is a non profit residential treatment facility that works with youth who have interacted with the juvenile justice and foster care system. They have multiple sites throughout New York City. The Lanza Activity Center on the Dobbs Ferry Campus is the recreation center that serves the youth who live on the campus. This center has many programs to offer such as sports both intramurally within the agency and organized school sports teams. The building offers a gym, pool, fitness room, and a tech hub to provide exploratory leisure and play opportunities. The building is spacious and the staff are engaged in their practice with the youth to not only provide enjoyment but to experience leisure education and develop skills they can take with them.
