Summary

This is a very long parking lot that overlooks Goose Pond; a marshy area inhabited by may birds and wildlife. There is a kiosk in the middle of the lot that has information about what you may see there and accessible parking designated in front of it. Most of the information on the kiosk is in large print. DEC staff state that in the winter months when leaves are down, you can better see the marshes beyond. This observation area may make up part of a full day excursion when included with the Oak Orchard MAPPWD trail and picnic area and observation deck on Knowlesville Rd. See separate assessments in IRRC.
