Registration and needs assessment
Comments/additional information about registration and needs assessment:
Programs are generally conducted at education centers but some are in the field. They do have a public participation specialist in addition to the inclusion coordinator. Inclusion point of contact is listed on some registration forms depending on program. They are working on having the Inclusion Coordinator listed on all registration forms.

If yes, describe quiet area:
Peer assistance, behavioral supports, and calming areas have not been used but if requested, staff would work with the person to make accommodations and explore use of these practices.
Comments/additional information about supports:
Most programs are by partner agencies and staff are working to ensure that staff at those agencies understand the DEC Region 8's values of inclusion and have access to training.
