Summary

Saddle Up! serves 49% male and 51% female. The riders ages range from 2-7 at 18%, ages 8-13 at 54%, ages 14-19 at 26%, and ages 20-24 at !%. The primary diagnosis served are Autism Spectrum Disorder at 33%, Intellectual Disabilities at 11%, Learning Disabilities at 1%, Mental Health Impairment at 9%, Multiple Disability at 22%,Other Health Impairments at 8%, Physical Disability at 16%, and Speech and Language Impairment at 2%.

As stated on Saddle Up! website "In November 1989, a core group of volunteers quietly launched a dream. They wanted to give wings to children with disabilities through a program which they named Saddle Up! focusing on recreational activities with horses. The dreams of that core group have grown far beyond even their imaginations."
Saddle Up! used to only host a program that was once a week. Today, they are a year-round program that serves around 180 children/youth. This is the oldest and largest program in the region and it exclusively serves children and youth with disabilities.

They are a Premier Center that is accredited by PATH International. The standards for safety and quality of equine assisted programs are set high.
