Some program registration forms will have the inclusion point of contact, but not all. Recreation Support Services can be contacted with questions regarding inclusion. Prior to summer day camps, meet and greets between campers and inclusion specialists are planned. Individual assessments are conducted for new participants. If registering online is difficult, front desk staff can be reached via phone and will assist.

During programs that take place outside of the facility, quiet spaces are created. At the agency, there is a small reading/relaxation area with books and comfortable seating.
Comments/additional information about supports:
Program staff are very open to inclusion and are good at creating inclusive atmospheres for programs. In programs where there are not specific quiet areas, participants are allowed to take a break and participate as they feel comfortable.

Adult Programs for Individuals with Diabilities
Programs include: health club workouts, movie clubs, board games, out and about seniors, hiking, fan club- sporting events, dinner club, bowling, bird watching, creative connections, chorus, biking, yoga, dances, horseback riding and bingo. Programs have minimal to no fees though some have additional fees depending on the activity. Scholarships are available. Participants can register through the website or can contact the agency to have a paper form mailed to them.
Youth Programs for Individuals with Disabilities
Programs include: After school programs: Boy Teen Club, Wellness Wednesdays, ROSA-Groups for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Swimming Groups, Community Buddy, Special Events. Weekend Activities: Playgroups and Swimming Programs Summer: Cass/Stewart Park Day Camp Inclusion, and Iroquois Program for teens and young adults. Inclusion: Any IYB Recreation Program and Training and Advocacy on the Inclusion Process.
Comments/additional information about specialized programs:
Programs include: after school activities, biking, community buddies, recreational swimming, weekend play groups, sports inclusion, summer day camp inclusion, summer day programs for teens, teen movie/fan club and swim lessons at the YMCA. Participants can register through the website or contact the agency to have a paper copy mailed to them. Most programs are free or at minimal cost and scholarships are available.
