Summary

Fittness and aquatic center run by the City of Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department. It offers a weight room, cardio equipment, gymnasium, indoor lap pool, and outdoor pool.

The entire facility has plenty of space for a wheelchair to easily get from the parking lot to anywhere in the facility with ease. The layout of the agency does allow for a person be able to participate in most activities all on the first floor, with the exception of the cardio equipment and the walking track. There are stairs or an elevator to go onto the second floor to access the cardio equipment. This equipment is well spaced out and has multiple machines that are more easily accessible for people to transfer from a wheelchair and for people disabilities.

There are fitness instructors that can help a person transfer or answer questions about equipment/exercises. The gymnasium is on the first floor with low bleachers for participants and friends/families. There is room for wheelchairs to be safely stationary in the gymnasium.

The indoor pool has lifts, a ramp, and floatation devices that may be of assistance at any time. It has plenty of space around the pool for friends/family to accompany the participants. The restroom/locker room/shower room does have an accessible toilet and shower that are clearly marked.
