Many brides and grooms choose picturesque Franklin Park as a backdrop for their wedding photos and/or ceremony. This lovely green space at the corner of Plum and Solar Streets features a fountain, arbors and magnificently-colored flowers in season. The arbors and fountain make beautiful backdrops for wedding photos. But stand back from the fountain so you don't get splashed!Please note: If you need chairs, you would be responsible for obtaining, transporting and removing them from the site. Please do not staple, tape or nail anything in or on any structure, fountain or statue of Benjamin Franklin. There are no restrooms at the park. The space must be reserved through the City's Department of Parks, Recreation & Youth Programs (315) 473-4330. The Parks department will provide a permit application and waiver form, and will be able to answer any questions you may have.
