Transition to and from your mobility device to a bench next to the kayak, and then from the bench onto the seat in the kayak. From there, use the grab bars to glide your boat into the water. Upon return, you’ll need to have a little speed as you aim for the ramp to get to the grab bars, then pull yourself up to the bench, where you will transfer from the kayak to the bench, and then to your mobility device. If no kayaks are already loaded on the launch, you will need to either pull the boat yourself or have a friend or park employee assist you getting it onto the dock. Also, have a plan for where your mobility device will be stored while you’re out on the water. Once you’re in the boat, someone will need to secure your mobility device for you, and bring it back to you when you return.
