Suitable for a wide variety of athletic events, Johnstown’s venerable Knox Athletic Field, an interscholastic stadium featuring lights and a field turf surface, is located at the Knox Junior High complex on South Perry Street.
Knox Field is a public recreation site and is also utilized by schools for some of their athletic contests. It has multiple athletic fields that are open to the public daily. There is also a half mile walking path, concession stand for athletic contests, a playground, and bathrooms. This facility is open from dawn till dusk every day and can be used by anyone. Even if there is an athletic contest happening, people can still walk the path and use the other fields and playground. The walking path can also get you to any of the athletic fields and other amenities at the facility. There are a few areas of the path that have a bit of an incline, but the majority of the path is flat, asphalt surface. Knox is a wonderful facility for spectating events, working out, hanging out, and playing.
