The entrance to the pool area is an automated door. There is a bench and a check-in/pool aid desk that creates a space that's 63" x 55" and diagonally the clear space between the bench and the desk is 55.5". Floor of pool lowers and raises for members to get in and out of the pool. There is no lip to step over, pool floor is even with rest of floor. Once members are on pool floor, pool aid manually lowers the pool floor and water flows into the pool. Pool has a maximum depth of 5 feet, but depth is determined by the shortest person in the pool. Depth of pool is electronically displayed on the wall opposite the pool entrance. Pool takes 5-8 minutes to raise and lower depending on the depth of the pool. Pool is raised and lowered every 30 or 60 minutes depending on what is going on. For people who are able to, if the pool is lowered, there is a ladder on the left side of the pool, right in front of the entrance to the women's locker room, for people to enter the pool. There is a railing provided and four steps down into the pool which are built into the pool wall. Temperature of the pool is usually kept around 92 or 93 degrees Fahrenheit.
