According to the agency website: "There are dozens of parks and recreational facilities for residents to take advantage of throughout the City. The Department of Recreation is constantly upgrading these facilities and providing activities for you, your family and friends to enjoy all year long."
Woodlawn Park is mostly used as a public park for community members to gather in and recreate as they prefer.
In partnership with the Inclusive Recreation Resource Center at SUNY Cortland, Albany Department of Parks and Recreation is currently participating in the Youth Inclusion Project in a combined effort to enhance their capacity to serve people in the Albany area with all ability levels.
