Montgomery Street Playground is a small playground in Ilion, NY. It features a main jungle-gym, a swing set, a covered picnic table area, and a basketball court. Although the surface of the playground is a mixture of concrete, pavement, grass, and wood clippings; the equipment there is supportive with plenty of place to grab, crawl, and slide.
The summer youth program is a summer program offered by the Village of Ilion to its residents. This program is free flowing in that there is little structure on how the day will go. There are some activities, such as building a bird house, and field trips that are planned, but other than that the child often gets to decide whether or not to participate in an activity. The director stated that they would welcome children with disabilities. They are more than willing to work with the individual and their family to see how they can incorporate them more into their everyday activities.
