"The Town of Hempstead’s Department of Parks and Recreation offers a thorough menu of activities focused on a wide spectrum of interests for all ages, including athletics, cultural arts, physical fitness classes, concerts, aquatics and recreation.
The department oversees more than 1,400 acres of parkland in more than 90 parks located across the township. Hundreds of certified lifeguards and staff are trained to protect and manage the town’s three miles of shoreline and 23 pool facilities."
