Mission Statement: In partnership with our citizens, the Department of Parks and Recreation provides comprehensive park and recreation programs, facilities, and services which respond to changing needs within our communities. We strive to preserve, enhance, and protect our open spaces to enrich the quality of life for present and future generations in a safe and secure environment.

This agency does not have specific safe evacuation procedures for people with disabilities just general evacuation procedures. Personal care attendants are called companions; companions much complete a companion form in order to gain entry and accompany their individual free of charge.

Parents are given program evaluations at the end of each session. Annually, the Therapeutic Recreation unit reviews current programs and their activity in the last year. Therapeutic Recreation unit is currently working on updating the site program quality and and accessibility assessment form.
