The Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library's mission statement is as follows: "The Clifton Park - Halfmoon Public Library shall provide informational, educational, cultural, and recreational reading resources, services, and programs for the people of the area the Library is chartered to serve. It shall strive to provide the most wanted resources, services, and programs on site as well as offer access to additional resources and services."

The Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library offers the following library services: borrowing books (available in large print, braille, CD, and downloadable audiobook format), magazines, DVDs, and video games; computer, copy machine, and fax services; meeting rooms; museum pass programs; notary services; children's library; outreach and senior services; and a wide variety of children, teen, and adult education programs.

Library programs include Friday Morning Free-For-Alls, book groups, foreign film series, craft programs, music programs, local interest programs, computer classes, language classes, and many others.
