The following mission statement extends a mission statement to all members of the community, which includes people with disabilities and other differences. Harborfields Public Library is dedicated to providing access to information, ideas and knowledge through books, programs, technology and other resources. We welcome and support our community in its pursuit of education, culture and enrichment activities.

The webpage is a simple, clear format and easy to navigate. The navigation bar is clear and consistent, but does not stay the same on each page. There are no flickering words or images or unnecessary sounds or animations.

The Huntington Area Rapid Transit (HART) bus provides public transportation within the town of Huntington. The bus will drop off visitors of the library at a close proximity to the library's actual location. Paratransit bus services through HART are also available to visitors of the library. General information regarding services provided by the HART bus can be gathered by calling (631) 427-8287 or by accessing their website at HARTBUS@HuntingtonNY.gov.
