The Clarence Public Library opened in September 2001 and is a part of the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library System.The Mission of the Clarence Public Library is "to provide opportunities for learning, recreation and personal growth for all the people of the Town of Clarence through the resources of the Clarence Public Library and the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library System of Western New York".

There are numerous activities, classes and events offered through the Clarence Public Library for children and adults in the community. Many of these programs are posted on flyers at the library, as well as listed on the library website each month. Some of these programs include arts and crafts, games, book clubs, etc.
