According to the agency website: "Mongaup Pond is located in north eastern Sullivan County. It is situated on a 120 acre lake, the largest body of water in the Catskill Park outside of the N.Y.C. reservoirs. The dense forest environment, remote location, large wooded campsites, and a lake with swimming, picnic area, and boat rentals are the attractions for most campers."
