Summary

The Women's Building is just one of many different recreation facilities available to both Syracuse University and SUNY ESF students, faculty, and staff. The building has multiple levels of different activities and is often used to host physical education and exercise science classes. The Syracuse University Women's Varsity Volleyball team practices and holds games in the gymnasium on the second floor. The basement is a temporary office space that is often changing depending on who is occupying it. In order to get to the basement, there is no other way to get there but the stairs. There is an elevator, but it will not take you that far down.

Recreation Services is the main department that runs this building, but there are many other departments that have offices in this building. Recreation Services' mission states, "The Department of Recreation Services is committed to providing diverse, inclusive and high quality programs, services and facilities that engage the University community in lifelong wellness." Their vision states, "The Department of Recreation Services is committed to positively engaging the University community and supporting academic productivity and success by promoting active healthy lifestyles." Their values include development, inclusivity, diversity, integrity, and respect.
