Comments/additional information about agency mission:
Their mission statement, while not utilizing inclusive language broadly covers all those interested in Long Island aerospace heritage and "to inspire, motivate, and stimulate our youth to be the next generation of aerospace scientists and engineers." They provide education programs for all students, included those with disabilities.

Museum assessment completed during week it was closed to public for scheduled maintenance. No opportunity to observe at this time.
Agency Planning

One of the current grants they are waiting for approval on would allow for expansion of programs such as the couple they do now with local school groups serving those with disabilities. They are hoping to have an exclusive exhibit showing for those with autism and their families on a regular basis as well as other community outreach program.

Although there is no written policies, the museum allows for service dogs and motorized wheelchairs within the facility. Personal care attendants are given a discounted rate on their entrance admission.

No formal evaluation forms or online survey as of yet (possible plans) but they do receive verbal feedback from their patrons.

Any additional administrative practices you noted at the agency that are not listed above that you feel are helpful to people with disabilities and their families:
The director of programs comes from a Special Education background and many of the volunteers whom work with the patrons with disabilities are retired educators themselves who are well versed in inclusion language and needs.
