According to the agency website: "There are dozens of parks and recreational facilities for residents to take advantage of throughout the City. The Department of Recreation is constantly upgrading these facilities and providing activities for you, your family and friends to enjoy all year long."

The Administration offices and Teen Center located at Hoffman Avenue in the City of Albany provide several amenities and other opportunities for groups to gather. The Albany Department of Parks and Recreation has a working partnership with the University of St. Rose to share the wonderful and contemporary Plumeri Sports Complex, located adjacent to the administrative building; accessible from Frisbie Avenue and McCarty Avenue as well.

In partnership with the Inclusive Recreation Resource Center at SUNY Cortland, Albany Department of Parks and Recreation is currently participating in the Youth Inclusion Project in a combined effort to enhance their capacity to serve people in the Albany area with all ability levels.
