Comments/additional information about transportation:
The Frederick Douglass R-Center currently utilizes 6 passenger vans that are shared between all Rochester R-Centers. They do not currently have any vans which offer access to people which use wheelchairs; however, Rochester's Regional Transportation Service provides accessible bus transportation in Monroe County and they also have a para-transportation service which offers services to individuals with disabilities. Information about this service can be found at the following link: https://www.myrts.com/RTS-Access/Paratransit-Plan-Updates/Paratransit-Plan-Update-Accessible

Notes about physical inclusion

Any additional information about physical accessibility you feel would be helpful to people with disabilities and their families
In partnership with the Inclusive Recreation Resource Center at SUNY Cortland and Rochester Adaptive Adventures (RAA) the Frederick Douglass R-Center is currently participating in the Youth Inclusion Project in a combined effort to enhance their capacity to serve people in the Rochester area with all ability levels.
