Staunton State Park's Entrance Building is a modular building were vehicles are asked to pull up to and pay the entrance fee before parking in the main lot. The Entrance Building is usually staffed from 8am to 5pm to purchase a park pass. If the Entrance Station is unattended, there is a self serve station.

At the self serve pass station, there are two places of importance. First, is the box were park visitors are asked to grab a park pass sheet and fill it out. These passes are in a box that is placed 51 inches off the ground. Then, there is a second box that is posted to the ground where park visitors are then asked to placed their filled out park pass and money into. This second box is 36 inches from the ground up.
