Comments
This boardwalk section is currently under construction. Most of the Wetland Trail already has a boardwalk but the sections at the very beginning and end of the trail are still being transitioned from natural wood chips to boardwalk. The Accessible Trail Connection that goes from the amphitheater to the beginning of the Wetland boardwalk is expected to be completed in 2016. The information in the assessment reflects those planned changes and will result in a one-way trail on the boardwalk area. The fully completed Wetland Trail will be converted to a loop trail with the rerouting of the end of the boardwalk section. This final piece is expected to be completed in 2017. Wehr Nature Center will be working to revise the trail map once the trail updates are complete. Staff is also working on plans for a sensory hike that can be enjoy along the Accessible Trail Connection by all visitors.
