During staff meeting and trainings staff has been made aware of “Person First Language”, Respect for all with disabilities as well as, the importance of inclusion in all activities. Staff is very interested in modifying current activities and developing new activities that will include people with disabilities.

The agency’s website is currently being created. In the agency’s personnel policies handbook there is a statement about Equal Employment Opportunities as well as mention about compliance with ADA laws and “Person First” Language is used in written material. Two years ago a device from the NY State Commission for the Blind was awarded to the center for people with vision impairments to be able to read their correspondence.
