Support varies from region to region. Disability awareness training is offered at regional meetings and events to those who attend, but not as a routine part of orientation.

New York State offers an Access Pass for people with permanent disabilities to access DEC sites at no charge, with a few exceptions. The state also offers a variety of passes and licenses for people who live in residential facilities, who have visual impairments. Visit www.dec.ny.gov for more information.
