Comments/additional information about supports:
The Club tries to influence positive characteristics within the kids that participate there. The staff supports the kids to help eachother when fellow club members need help. Staff likes to interact with the kids one on one as well as in a group. In addition to the full time staff there are many volunteers, community members and part time staff that can help with extra supports. Greg Wooliver is a special edudation and PE teacher over at the Owego Free Acadamy School and often helps out with the Boys and Girls Club and works with the kids

Specialized programs or services

Various Youth Programs
Comments/additional information about specialized programs:
There are six people on the program committee that looks at what are the needs and the different dynamics that should be encorporated into the programs they need. Within making these programs they do consider kids that may need extra support. The organization discourages being used as a daycare, but the staff community works with the schools and families to provide a safe place for kids to enhance their academic, athletic, and social skills. The Club primarily strives to be a positive influence on kids who don’t get the support they need at home.
