Summary

The Town of Skaneatles Waterfront area is located in the village of Skaneateles within Clift Park on Skaneateles Lake. There are several benches and a 5' wide, cement walkway along the waterfront. The waterfront offers a roped area for public swimming open to the public in July and August when lifeguards are on duty 7 days a week from 11am-7pm (weather permitting). In order to access the lake, patrons cross a grassy area that leads to slate stairs that descend to a cement ramp into the lake. Residents swim for free with a season swim pass available at the Skaneateles Community Center or Town Hall. Daily admission fees for non-residents are collected at Clift Park.

Clift Park includes the swimming area, gazebo, a pier and launch dock for Midlakes Navigation Boat tours. The park is across the street from the historic Sherwood Inn.
