Service animals are not allowed in certain areas due to zoo animal safety concerns; escorts are available or accomodations are made for animal restricted areas. Restricted areas include: diversity of birds exhibit, primates and the barn). Group rates and membership rates are available. Ask about "plus one" membership cards. Comment cards are available to provide zoo with feedback.

Many Onondaga County staff members have attended Inclusion U training. Onondaga County Parks has also hosted Inclusion U Training, and Leiko Benson, Inclusion Point of Contact, is a Certified Trainer.
The agency has had the Inclusive Recreation Resource Center train staff on two occasions. The zoo is currently looking into disability awareness training for volunteers/staff.
