It is an area that has slowly but surely, as they are able to, worked on improvements in making the site more inclusive. It is well on its way to becoming a fully-inclusive area for the volunteers and visitors and is currently still a great place for volunteers and visitors to participate in gardening, enjoying nature, and touring the gardens, as the volunteers and board are committed to making the best experience possible when they are there to help.

Riverside park located in Lyons Falls, NY offers the public with many activities. They include baseball fields, soccer fields, and a tennis court which is surrounded by a track. They also have a pavilion which is available to the public to rent for events. There is a farmer's market that occurs regularly at the park during the summer. In the winter months the pavilion is used as a skating rink.

It is very clean, well organized, and very open and inviting. They do have many group exercise classes in which instructors can do modifications for individuals and make it more assessable.. There is a chair lift for the pool and for the hot tub. There is a very friendly and welcoming staff that can answer any of your questions via telephone, web site comments, or in person.

Robert H. Treman State Park

Robert H. Treman State Park is an area of wild beauty, with the rugged gorge called Enfield Glen as its scenic highlight. Winding trails follow the gorge past 12 waterfalls, including the 115-foot Lucifer Falls, to where visitors can see a mile-and-a-half down the wooded gorge as it winds its way to the lower park. Campers can choose from tent or RV sites or cabins. Enjoy nine miles of hiking trails, or swim in a stream-fed pool beneath a waterfall. Swimming is allowed in lifeguarded area only.

The former estate of Mr. Wehle, the park boasts 1,100 acres and over 17,000 ft of spectacular Lake Ontario shoreline. Extremely private, the area can accommodate up to 8 people. Rental arrangements can be made through Reserve America. The Rogers Island Visitor Center is a non-profit museum that is funded by the village of Fort Edward. Admission to the Center is free and service dogs are allowed. Staffing for the center is mall with usually only two staff members on site, but if asked, staff are more than willing to provide the group with a tour. During the summer there are bigger exhibits and reenactments.
