Originally built in 1923, the Strand opened as a silent film theatre with a single screen. Through the years the owners have updated it to add more theaters and do renovations of the main theater. In addition to movie showings, there is a informal museum portraying different aspects of the history of film. If you are in the Old Forge area, the Strand is definitely a place to visit.
