Summary

There is a lot to do at Rogers Center. Its 600 acres offer a variety of habitats for the walker, bird watcher, photographer, snowshoer, or cross-country skier. Trails traverse woodlands, meadows, wetlands, plantations, and farm fields.

The Visitor Center features exhibits focusing on natural resources, a library, staff offices, classroom space, and restrooms. The upper gallery of the Visitor Center offers a view of the marsh, enabling the visitor to see geese and ducks feeding, muskrats swimming, and great blue herons and osprey fishing. Microphones bring the outdoor sounds indoors.

Rogers Center staff provide a variety of programs for interested visitors. Program areas include natural resources, nature study, ecological concepts, and environmental quality.

The trail system consists of six miles of labeled trails. A two mile system begins at the Visitor Center traversing a variety of habitats. Trail guide booklets explain various aspects of the natural resources along the way. Another mile of trails, located across the street from the main parking lot, winds its way up to the Farm Tower where one can enjoy a wonderful view of the Chenango Valley. Two other trail systems are located at our Adams Farm and Cush Hill sites. Take time to explore these trails in every season.
