According to the agency website, South Bay Pier is " a 300- foot long universally designed fishing pier with benches and a covered area at the end... The universal design of this project benefits the community by providing seniors, families, people with disabilities and others barrier-free access from the parking area to the fishing rail. The pier has been designed to ensure that all visitors will be able to choose from a variety of places to fish through shallow water and out toward the deepest channel of the bay. Benches are provided along the pier and the covered pavilion area over the end of the pier provides shelter from the sun and inclement weather. The pier is located near an existing DEC boat launch facility which has additional parking and an accessible privy."

South Country Library

The South Country Library is located in the Village of Bellport, in Suffolk County, on Long Island. According to their mission statement, The South Country Library is a community centered facility providing materials and services to help patrons meet their needs for personal, educational, and/or professional information. Emphasis is placed on the following roles: popular materials library; preschoolers' door to learning; reference library; formal education support center; and Community Center for activities and information. There is an Outreach Service available for patrons who may not be able to get to the library, whether it is due to a temporary or permanent disability. They offer a variety of programs, including but not limited to, concerts, games, movies, open mic nights and a variety of educational classes. South Orange Family YMCA

On February 5, 2011, the YMCA celebrated a historic achievement in the region when it opened the doors to the South Orange Family YMCA or ‘SOFY’ as it is affectionately called. Located at 45 Gilbert Street Extension in Monroe, this 23,000 square foot building is the culmination of years of planning and months of construction, inspired by a vision to bring a true community and family center to southern Orange County. It offers equipment for working out, a basketball court and a party/ activity room. The YMCA serves many school districts and works closely with the neighboring facility called Inspire.

South Side Park

South Side Park is a small but very long park that is situated in between Conklin Ave and the Susquehanna River in the City of Binghamton. This Long strip of land serves as a green space for the community to use and is most often used for people walking their dogs. The space has some benches along the sidewalk next to the park. The park is not used for any programming but the parks and recreation department does operate programming at other parks in the city. Southwest Pool does NOT follow the City of Syracuse school district schedule and does NOT close when the city schools close."

Southwick Beach State Park

According to the agency website: "Southwick Beach State Park is spacious and popular, known for outstanding swimming and sunning on its long sandy beach. Campers and day-users enjoy picnicking, hiking and games on the playing fields. The park is adjacent to the Lakeview Wildlife Management Area, home to the environmentally-sensitive coastal sand dunes. Park nature, hiking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails adjoin the wildlife management area and its trail system, which visitors are encouraged to use. During the winter, snowmobilers are permitted in the park. Deer hunting is allowed south of the park entrance in season."

The Southworth Library in Dryden is a comfortable space that is welcoming and soothing. The staff at the front desk are kind and helpful. The library provides assistance when needed. Patrons with requests are asked to contact the library with any inquiries. In the modern section of the library there are tables and chairs of different sizes. The older, more historic section of the library is more suitable for a person looking for increased quiet and solitude.

Sperr Park is a community park serving the Big Flats, NY area. There is a loop trail that is 0.5 miles long. There are Ed Heads which are restrooms located by the entrance, the path to use them are very narrow at 30 inches. There is a nice pavilion to enjoy a picnic and a playground for the kids.

According to the agency website: Spicer Creek WMA is located along East River Road in the Town of Grand Island in Erie County. The parcel includes rights to a portion of the Niagara River bed along 1600 feet of its shoreline. The area is primarily made up of wetland habitat. Users of the area are likely to encounter a variety of wildlife species. The more common species are beaver, muskrat, rabbit, mink, raccoon, fox, a variety of waterfowl and shorebirds, birds of prey, amphibians and reptiles and a variety of song birds.

St. Lawrence State Park Golf Course

According to the Agency Website: Originally owned by five area golfers as a private 9-hole club more than 75 years ago, St. Lawrence State Park Golf Course was purchased by the state in the mid 1960s. With its long, sweeping hills and pond, the course was designed to incorporate the panoramic view of the St. Lawrence River shipping channel and the Canadian shore. The vista can be seen from the fairways and from the clubhouse veranda. This 9-hole course can be played twice from different tees for an 18-hole round.

According to their website: Staatsburgh State Historic Site is the elegant country home of Ogden Mills and his wife Ruth Livingston Mills. Sitting atop a grassy hill overlooking the Hudson River and the Catskill Mountains, their house is a fine example of a great estate built by America's financial and industrial leaders during the Gilded Age (1876 - 1917). Also known as the American Renaissance, this period in American history was marked by America's rapid economic growth and emergence as a world power. Darius Ogden Mills, father of Ogden Mills, established the family fortune by investing in banks, railroads and mines. Ogden Mills, like his father, was a noted financier and philanthropist. In 1882 he married Ruth Livingston, whose family had been prominent landowners in the Hudson Valley since the 17th century. In 1890, Ruth Livingston Mills inherited her childhood home and property which had once belonged to her great-grandfather, Morgan Lewis, the third governor of New York State.
