Cort-Lanes provides very accessible bowling within the structure of the building. A variety of activities are offered including: leage bowling, open bowling, midnight bowling and bar area. Tables are spread far apart to allow easy passage and there are no steps to enter or use the facility's bowling lanes. Cort-lanes works with several area disabilty organizations and has some experience working with a diverse population.

The Cultural Council of Cortland County sponsors the Cortland Arts and Wine Festival. The event is a one-day festival held in Court House Park in downtown Cortland, NY. The Festival features 20 New York State wineries under one tent offering more than 140 wines for tasting, over 60 artists, 12 food vendors offering a variety of ethnic foods, and live music throughout the day, all free and open to the public. There is also a small classic car show in the parking lot on church street.

The Cortland Family Fun and Resource Center is a place for parents, grandparents, childcare providers and anyone in our community with youngsters in their care to bring their children and spend time playing together. We offer workshops and classes on a variety of parenting topics such as discipline and parenting skills, Parents Apart, a parenting class for separating and divorcing parents, and family social activities. We also have a lending library containing a wide variety of parenting resources, childrens books, puzzles and games. Parents are welcomed and encouraged to take advantage of these materials. Our program is open with no restrictions to anyone in the community with children in their care, and it is provided free of charge.

Cortlandt Lanes is a bowling alley in Cortlandt Manor, NY. They offer summer and winter leagues, open bowling, moonlight bowling, birthday parties, and other specials. While the bowling alley generally does not include programs structured for persons with disabilities, nor does it have inclusion orientation training with staff, it does have patnerships with Norwest and local group homes. All persons who come to bowl are treated with respect.

Courthouse Park

Courthouse Park is a community park located at the corners of Church Street and Court Street in the heart of Cortland, New York. Many annual festivals and concerts are held in Courthouse Park throughout the year including the Cortland pumpkinfest and Arts in the Parks. The CYB also facilitates youth programs in Courthouse Park now and then. The CYB has plans in the near future to build a more permanent stage structure in the park where the current statue stands. There are also talks of building a public restroom facility in the park.

Covington Park provides the Morongo Valley community and visitors a place for recreation and relaxation. The park offers many activities for children and adults. They can enjoy the accessible playgrounds that include, the climbing platforms, slides, swings, spin cup and other playground furniture. The two playgrounds are surrounded by fall-safe rubber surfaces as well as a accessible route. The shaded pavilion, picnic tables, water fountains grills and restrooms are additional amenities available for park visitors. Visitors can also play tennis on the newly resurfaced tennis courts, and/or skateboard in the skate park provided to you by the park.

CP Rochester

There's a lot going on in this building. There's a preschool for individuals with developmental disabilities that are five-years-old. They do half days. There's a day habilitation for adults with developmental disabilities. They're grouped based on age and ability. There's recreation therapists here to provide opportunities to day habilitation and the community. There's community program. Physical therapy, occupational therapy, and animal therapy are also provided.
Cradle of Aviation Museum

The Cradle of Aviation Museum is an aerospace museum located on Charles Lindbergh Blvd. in Garden City, New York. Located on "Museum Row" with easy access off the Meadowbrook Parkway, near the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Long Island. It is located on land once part of Mitchel Air Force Base which, together with nearby Roosevelt Field and other airfields on the Hempstead Plains, was the site of many historic flights. Travel through accessible exhibits as young men and women become inspired by the ingenuity of the pioneers of flight. The museum is one of the more popular Air and Space museums in the United States and is well known for its innovative installations, including unique audio-visual, hands-on and interactive exhibits. They are currently improving as exhibits and program offerings through generous grant money. In addition to the museum itself, the complex houses the DOME theater featuring IMAX 70 millimeter format films as well as a state-of-the-art digital planetarium, and the Red Planet Cafe, decorated to look like a space station on Mars. When you call ahead, you can even arrange a private guide to accommodate your special needs. It is a must stop on your next visit to Long Island. A great place to spend a rainy day.
